Burgundy and Gold Foil Nails by GoldFinger

Over the weekend, I attended a holiday party at my husband's work place. These are the glue on nails I wore.

These are by the GoldFinger glue on nail brand. They are part of the Kiss Nails Company.

There are 24 fashion nails in the kit along with glue and cuticle stick. I ordered these from beautyonlinesupply.com. They are only $5.99.

The design is a subtle gold floral with gold foil finishes.
The nails are medium length but as you can see from the pictures, they are really long on me.

As glamorous as they are, I knew I couldn't navigate through the party, shaking hands with so many people, without harpooning someone.

So I cut them down.
I used toe nail clippers to cut them as straight as possible, and then I filed them to shape them.

I really like the designs of these nails by GoldFinger. The quality is on par with Broadway/Kiss nails. The price is really reasonable.

What do you think of these nails? Have you tried nails by GoldFinger?

Vlog: Keep Me Out of CVS!!!

I made a little video of the polishes I bought today at CVS, because they're having a 75% off and I have no will power to say no.

Front Left-Right: Sally Hansen Thinking of Blue, Fairy Teal, Black Platinum, NYC French Manicure, Luxury Lime Creme, Sally Hansen Purple Pulse, Navy Baby, Sinful Colors San Francisco, 10 Professional Chocolate Kiss, From Paris with Love, Signed-Sealed-and-Delivered

Now I have to figure out how to add these to all the other polishes I'm transporting in the car, for our long-distance move.

Why do I do this to myself?!?

Is there any interest in seeing what I'm using to transport all my polishes? Should I make another video of that?

Let me know what you think...

Broadway Nails imPress Press-on Nails

Recently, I was sent 2 sets of Broadway Nails imPress press-on nails.

Now these are Broadway Nails newest invention. They are peel and stick nails.
And boy, are they super easy to apply!

The nails come in packages that look like nails polish bottles.
Cute, huh?

There are so many styles to choose from too.
Each set of nails comes with one prep pad package. It's used to clean the natural nails before placing the press-on nails onto them. To me, the pad smells like rubbing alcohol. I had a little bit of polish on a nail, and it didn't remove the polish.
The nail container top twists off like a polish bottle.

The nail containers, opened.

The directions are pretty straight forward. The email I received also suggested to press the nails during the first 30 minutes of wear, and avoid water contact during that time, to insure maximum adhesiveness.

I was worried about these nails because of my two "problems:" Short nail beds, and flat nail beds.

However, I really had nothing to worry about. These imPress nails are real short length, and they are flexible at the base. Instead of me having to fill up the gap of space between the arch of the artificial nail and my flat bed nail, these conform to my nails.

The package says they last up to 7 days. We will see. I'm still in the middle of packing and living, ie: washing my hair, dishes, hands, etc. If they actually stay on for 7 days, these might be my newest nail obsession.

Have you tried these imPress nails yet? What are your thoughts? When they are removed, there is no damage to the natural because there is no glue. Does that make you more eager to try them?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments...
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Christmas Flowers

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having as much as a stress free holiday season as possible! Me-I'm up to my armpits in packing to move.

Here's a design I made back in the summer that again, I thought would be nice for Christmastime.
A mustard and purple background with gold flowers

Polishes:

I used my dotter to make the five-sided petals and added rhinestones for the centers.
As you can see, the polishes are super shiny and kind of hard to capture with my camera.

I've got a holiday party to go to this week. I'm thinking of gluing these on for that. If I do, I'll post a picutre on twitter.

Thanks to everyone who subscribes to my blog. Thank you for not bailing on me. I hate that I don't have time right now to comment on blogs, do nail art, and post to my own blog.

Once this move is over, and we get settled, I'll be back.

Thanks for your patience!

Dots And Pearls for Christmas

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I posted a blog post. I'm in the middle of packing to move. And even though I started out packing a little bit back in September, we're in the thick of it now, and I'm going crazy! When I get a break, I scroll through twitter. This is the first I've been on my computer in ages. I'm only on it to pay bills, and I thought I'd post something so you all won't forget me. I'm sorry I haven't been able to comment on blogs. But when I see one pop up on twitter, and I'm there, I try to retweet and make a comment. That's probably lame, but it's the best I can do for now. If you want to contact me, catch me on twitter.

Back in the summer, I created this mani and decided to share it at Christmas-time. (Which is a good thing because I have no time to do any nails. And moving does tremendous damage to my cuticles right now!)

I used Kiss Active Oval Full Cover Nails for this.

Polishes
I used the largest dotter in my kit.

And different colors and sizes of pearls from this wheel

Painted each nail light pink, then sideswipe with Lavender Cloud by Sally Hansen
Painted the middle grey with silver glitter, the light pink with light pink glitter, and the ruby with the purple glitter.

The dots were made with Revlon Emerald City

Well, that's it for now. Hope your holiday season is going good!

Take care and hope to see you again soon!
