Fruit Skittles

I'm back into my fimo fruit and fruit slices!

This is my mani for the next few days...

Polishes:
L-R: Wet n Wild Fast Dry The Wonder Yellows, LA Colors (no name) Orange, Wet n Wild How I Met Your Magenta, Sally Hansen Lavender Cloud, Sinful Colors Dream On, Wet n Wild Sage in the City, Wet n Wild Saved by the Blue
Do you remember Roy G Biv from school?

I painted each nail close to the R(ed) O(range) Y(ellow) G(reen) B(lue) I(ndigo) V(iolet) colors of the rainbow. On the thumb nails, I painted one blue and one green. Oh, before that, I taped the french tips with french tip guides, and painted 2 coats of Sally Hansen Lavender Cloud.

After the polishes dried, I painted each nail with a corresponding color glitter polish.

Once that all dried, I lined each french tip bottom edge with black and then silver nail art paint.

A little while later, I started applying the fimo fruit and fruit pieces.
Then I finished up the nails with a bit of bling.

Some Outside Shots

A couple of days ago, I ordered some more fruits and veggies(!)
I can't wait to try them out.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Got any special plans?
I'll be working on scrapbooking our family's cookbook for my mother.
Thanks for stopping by!

I love the little fruit!
I have a question though... Is it hard to wear? I think I would get them messed up or something. But I think they're just so cute!

When I first put the nails on, the fruit got caught in my hair. I put another coat of clear polish over them and haven't had any more trouble with them. Before the extra clear top coat, I lost a lemon somewhere. Since then though nothing else has decided to go off into the world and live somewhere else. ;p

This must have been time consuming for you to do. And I am really impressed. And yet you make it look so easy. I love the fimo slices. And the idea of the Roy G Biv! Thanks for the tip regarding the extra top coat! This looks so refreshing and delicious! I hope I have time to try something like this soon.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments Thalie. I'm not sure how long it took me to do this mani. I'll tell you though what makes it easier for me is the fact I can do one part, let that dry, and come back later because they are glue on nails and I don't have to wear them while I'm painting and gluing. :D
